PM Narendra Modi along with others practiced yoga during the 9th International Day of Yoga celebrations at UN headquarters in New York on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
Before the International Day of Yoga on June 21, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged people to keep reminding themselves that yoga needs to be a part of their lives and advise others likewise.
In ten days from now, as reported by PM Modi on ‘X’, the world will commemorate its tenth International Day of Yoga; this ancient practice is about unity and harmony.
Yoga is not culturally or geographically bound and has united several millions of people worldwide, striving for holistic well-being according to him.
Mr. Modi said, “As we approach this year’s Yoga Day, it is essential to reiterate our commitment to making Yoga an integral part of our lives and also encouraging others to make it a part of theirs.”
The PM added that “Yoga offers serenity which helps us traverse through life’s challenges with serenity and endurance.” He also shared videos that demonstrated different styles of yoga in addition to their benefits.
