NEW DELHI: The much-anticipated Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 Auction promises to be an exciting event in Bengaluru as the five franchises battle to fill the remaining 19 slots and finalise their squads.
A total of 120 players will go under the hammer as the auction pool comprises 91 Indian players and 29 international stars, including three emerging talents from Associate Nations.
Among them, 30 players are capped (9 Indian and 21 overseas), while 90 are uncapped (82 Indian and 8 overseas). With most franchises retaining their core squads, only 19 slots are available, including 5 for overseas players.
This year’s marquee players include Tejal Hasabnis, Sneh Rana, Deandra Dottin (West Indies), Heather Knight (England), Orla Prendergast (Ireland), Lauren Bell (England), Kim Garth (Australia), and Danielle Gibson (England), along with several other notable names.
