The death of a 34-year-old woman in Balram Nagar, Safilguda at her residence remains surrounded by secrecy.
The dead body was discovered on Monday at the victim’s place of stay soon after she had texted her son “take money from me” on WhatsApp.
Malla Reddy Colony in Jawahar Nagar currently accommodates Gundrolu Madhavi ‘s three children; two boys and a girl who lost their father in 2021.
Madhavi has been working as an assistant in a private dental hospital at Karkhana for the past seven months while living with her roommate and lover Shiva Ratri Yadagiri (24). They were staying together in a hired penthouse, situated in Naredmet’s Balramnagar area.
The day before Pavan discovered his mother’s body, Madhavi told him to take Rs 20000 along with auto keys from almirah and ₹8000 from PhonePay account the following day, informed Neredmet Inspector P. Sandeep Kumar.
However, Shiva called him early on Monday before Pavan went there saying that maybe Madhavi could not live anymore since she wouldn’t pick calls for him.
Upon reaching home, he saw his mother dead lying on a floor filled with blood and a scarf around her neck.
After postmortem examination at Gandhi Hospital, the corpse was given back to the family members for burial services.
“Only through the postmortem results can we determine if it is suicide or murder,” he confirmed.
Neredmet police have registered a case under Sec 174 (suspicious death) of CrPC and are investigating further.
