Arkansas governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Tuesday saga was in Michigan supporting the former republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and criticized vice kamala Harris. Sanders said that ‘Children are a very big help in staying mum- to which Harris ditto, has nothing’.
In her address at Flint, Sanders spoke about poor timing of welcoming the new member of the family, which happened to be her child, just before preparing for the father-daughter dance. She recalls her daughter telling her, “It’s okay mommy, you can be beautiful too” with those children truly motive. Sanders however, said, ‘Unfortunately, Kamala Harris doesn’t have anything keeping her humble.”
While Sanders criticized Harris over the past four years, there were specific things she blamed her administration on, which included the southern border, inflation among others.
“I say this because the success of such things as the children of my kids, children of our kids, children of this country and theirs very much depends on who the next president of the country is,” Sanders said.
Mrs. Sarah Huckabee Sanders has made a historic achievement as the first woman to hold the office of the 47th governor of Arkansas where she assumed office on the 10th of January 2023 and youngest serving governor in the country.
Before assuming the mantle of the head of the state, Sanders was the White House Press Secretary for the 45th President of the United States Donald Trump serving from 2017 -2019. She managed Trump’s communication operations, handling of staff and administrative matters as a close ally. Sanders was the third female press secretary but the first in a press secretary bear an infant policy.
In the political sphere, Sanders supported herself as the senior advisor to Trump in the 2016 elections. She has also been involved at the leadership level in several other campaigns including Senator Tom Cotton, Senator John Boozman, and her father’s former Governor Mike Huckabee’s campaigns. Sanders also worked in the Department of Education when President George W Bush was in office.
After entering the office time Sanders has made a number of changes in her styles that can be termed conservative. Such reforms include the implementation of the Arkansas LEARNS initiative which seeks to reform the education system in the state by raising teachers salary and also proposes universal schools vouchers. Other projects she has completed include public safety reforms, reform tax cuts, and the launching of the Natural State Initiative aimed at promoting the outdoor economy within Arkansas state. also, Sanders has aimed at reducing the size and the complexity of the government of the state.
Both Sanders and Lacey grew up in Pine Bluff and Texarkana. This Little Rock Central High and Ouachita Baptist University graduate lives in Little Rock with her spouse, Bryan, children Scarlett, Huck, and George, and a golden retriever named Traveler.
Business states Sanders has been present in ‘Fortune’ and in the TIME Magazine ’40 under 40. ’ Sanders is a political strategist and author of Speaking for Myself: The Voice of the Politician’s Wife and many other mass-market books; for about five years, she worked as a contributor to the Fox News Channel, sat on the board of Fulbright.
Criticism on Sanders’ comment
Lawyer and writer Amee Vanderpool was one of Sanders’s critics who berated Sanders for insulting Harris on the social media platform X. “Sarah Huckabee Sanders gets down to a lower base than JD Vance by merry-go-round childless shaming another female and mispronouncing her own name,” she posted on X.
According to Newsweek, Arkansas Democratic US House candidate Daniel Parker said that Sanders’ off-the-cuff remarks over US culture are ‘despicable,’ stating, ‘Arkansas, we are better than this.’
