Pakistan wicketkeeper Azam Khan continued to receive a social media backlash following his bad performances during the England tour, especially after the fourth T20I in which Pakistan lost by seven wickets on Thursday at London, but skipper Babar Azam led his side to console and motivate him.
In fact, Pakistan dropped a catch and suffered from two run outs which was noticed by many people as another performance that wasn’t upto the level of some of his teammates in terms of talent. In this regard, Azam is seen moving towards Khan who appears depressed right next to stumps and smacking him on the back with a few words of encouragement in an image that is shown through ‘X’ on microblogging platform.
Khan’s inclusion in the national team selection and the fitness of the stocky cricketer were questioned by these trolls after the match.
In response to this loss, Pakistan played a four-match series against England where they were bowled out for 157 runs in their last game from which England chased it comfortably with 27 balls remaining in hand.
This defeat marked Pakistan losing their four-match series 2-0 as they won the first and final games while Leeds and Cardiff fixtures were drawn because of weather conditions.
Both squads will now be flying to America for T20 World Cup where England will strive to protect their title.
