Marcus Stoinis, the Australian all-rounder who is part of the Texas Super Kings (TSK) squad during this season’s Major League Cricket (MLC) in US, had a special guest waiting for him after TSK’s game against Seattle Orcas at Dallas last week.
Coming from Afghanistan but now based in US, the lady fan whose name was not mentioned on that video posted by TSK on social media drove all the way from Colorado Springs to Dallas for 14 hours just to see her favorite cricketer.
She was even luckier because she saw Marcus Stoinis play and after the match they met each other.
In an interview with MINY social media team, she said “I am from Afghanistan…I always talked about him (Stoinis) with my school friends” as captured in the video while being interviewed in the stands.
She brought a placard made specially for her favorite player, while screaming his name ‘Stonis’ from spectators’ stand.
“ I thought this (MLC) is going to be a big opportunity to come and see him, cheer for him. That was like one of my dreams which has come true…because you know I had to drive for 14 hours from Colorado Springs…just come and see him,” she said.
After asked how would she react if she meets Stoinis personally; he asked “I have no any idea what I am about to do maybe I’ll cried or something.”
The title of this video was so perfect: “the Yellove is unmatched.”
