The Indian cricket team came to Barbados in order to win their first ICC trophy in 11 years.
On Saturday, BCCI shared a video on its official X handle which showed Rohit Sharma and his men arriving in Barbados.
For instance, the video shows covers on at the Providence Stadium, Guyana where India beat England in a match interrupted by rain. All this is shown with fans cheering for Team India and a fan clad in a Pakistan cricket jersey saying that “Congratulations India. Let’s go!”
Additionally, the video shows Indian cricketers boarding flight BW8001 from Guyana and touching down in Barbados.
India has not won anything on the global stage since they claimed the Champions Trophy back in 2013.
Rohit who is aged 37 years old and Kohli who is aged 35 are hoping to do well during this tournament which may be their last T20I event.
Underperforming with only 75 runs across seven innings, Kohli has been poor while Rohit has accumulated more runs (248) than any other player overall finals thus putting himself in good stead.
There should be quite many Indian fans as it always happens when it comes to West Indies cricket’s ancient home which will make an ideal atmosphere.
