The second phase of Lok Sabha polling in the state started at 7 am today in 14 constituencies and will end at 6 pm.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday appealed to voters in Karnataka to vote for a government that will continue investing in infrastructure development in the state, support farmers and provide justice to the poor.
The second phase of Lok Sabha polling in the state started at 7 am today in 14 constituencies and will end at 6 pm.
Shah made an appeal to Kannada voters on the X show. He said, I appeal to the people to vote for the government. The government will continue to invest in the development of national infrastructure, support farmers, provide justice to the poor, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, non-business groups, and improve the state of the country.
On April 26, the turnout rate in the first phase of polls in 14 constituencies in Karnataka was 69.56%. The districts going to polls on Tuesday include: Chikkodi, Belgaum, Bagalkot, Bijapur, Gulbarga, Raichur, Bidar, Koppal, Bellary, Haviri, Dharwad, Uttara Kannada, Davangere and Shimoga.
A total of 227 candidates, including 206 men and 21 women, are contesting in the second phase, covering the northern region of the state where more than 2.59 million voters are eligible to exercise their franchise at 28,269 polling stations.
