Virat Kohli, the Indian star batsman, set foot in Colombo on Monday to play the three ODIs against Sri Lanka. They warmly welcomed him at the airport besides taking pictures with their most loved cricketer.
Kohli decided to retire from T20Is after India clinched the 2024 T20 World Cup and will now focus on ODIs and tests in his career.
The remaining players of team India will join ODI skipper Rohit Sharma and others after playing the last T20I match in Pallekele on July 30.
ODI captain of India, Rohit Sharma has landed in Colombo for the upcoming One Day International series. Additionally, Shreyas Iyer, Virat Kohli, Kuldeep Yadav and Harshit Rana checked into ITC Ratnadipa hotel located in Sri Lankan capital city.
Now that India have already won the first two matches of this year’s T20I series, it is time to turn our attention towards ODIs.
The three matches of ODI series are fixed in R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium commencing with the first one scheduled for 2nd August. It will be followed by second ODI on August 4th while final one slated for August 7th.
