On Thursday, an appearance by the US Presidential debate timetable appeared to be in its finality. Kamala Harris’s campaign stated that Donald Trump’s team agreed to three debates-two presidential and one vice presidential. “The debate about debates is over,” said Michael Tyler, Harris’s communications director.
However, the Trump campaign disputes this. They claim that only one debate between the presidential candidates has been confirmed, which will be held on September 10 on ABC News.
“President Trump will participate in debates with Fox News, ABC, and NBC/Telemundo. Senator Vance will debate Tim Walz twice—on September 18 with CNN and October 1 with CBS. If Harris and Walz don’t show, it will show their weakness,” reported the News Republic.
Trump has not always been sure about debating Harris but he eventually suggested three debates. While accepting invitations from ABC and CBS for her personification of him; she is reluctant for a Fox news participation
Vance made things complicated when he proposed having two vice presidential debates with one of them coinciding with the sentencing period for Trump regarding hush-money.
The Trump campaign suggests that Democrats are trying to avoid committing to the October debate until they see how well Harris performs in September. She also hinted that Trump may use Harris’ connection to Dana Walden as a reason not to have a September debate.
With both sides accusing each other of dodging debates however, the situation remains uncertain; therefore, there is no final schedule for debates yet!
