Riyan Parag’s effortless hit over long-off for a six in the ongoing second-round match of the Duleep Trophy between India A and India D at the Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur has been doing the rounds on social media, with fans and Parag’s IPL team, Rajasthan Royals (RR), in awe of the shot.
Parag played a cameo of 39 off 27 balls in India A’s first innings on the opening day of the match on thursday, before being pear-shaped by Arshdeep Singh.
“That shot by Riyan Parag! It was the first 6 of India A’s innings.” The @BCCIdomestic post on ‘X’ read.
However, the only limit on Parag was being left out of the maiden test for his absence for the series against Bangladesh. He debuted for India when playing a T20I in Zimbabwe as a part of the games played last July.
So far he has played six T20Is and one ODI, in his early career which can be recalled after he impressed the BCCI selectors with his big hitting displays for the RR in the IPL earlier this year.
