Cricket Australia has announced the squad for the forthcoming Women’s Under-19 Tri-series, which will begin on September 19 in Brisbane. The Youth Selection Panel has chosen 15-player squads for both the T20 and 50-over formats for the Tri-series, which will be held in Brisbane and Gold Coast. The squad has appointed Kristen Beams, an ex-Australian player as their coach.
This is a multi-format series involving Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka. They have to play four T20s and two One-Day games within the span of this 14-day tri-series.
Australia’s Ribya Syan joins Samara Dulvin and Hasrat Gill in U19 Women’s Squad for Tri-Series.
The team features three Indian origin players- Ribya Syan, Samara Dulvin, Hasrat Gill who were selected based on their talent. This selection reflects the growing diversity within Australian cricket. While also recognising the role played by players with roots in India.
