Former cricketer as well as captain of Pakistan cricket team, Ramiz Raja warned his followers yesterday of multiple fake accounts appearing on Instagram and representing as him which did not escape unaddressed as he produced the captures of all such fake pages in a video on his Youtube channel.
“Yeh video thodi si emergency mei mujhe banani par rahi hai (I had to publish this video in emergency),” said Rameez. “On Instagram there are many fake accounts in my name.One or two are even claiming to be my managers.
“I have no manager,” he stated then held up his real management Instagram handle to the camera. “Kindly note that no such activities that maybe involving or using these impersonations as shown in these accounts, do not because l have come to know of frauds that l have come to the USA and know to them.”
Ramiz Raja was one of the cricketers in Imran Khan-led team of Pakistan which won jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand World Cup 1992.
He has played 57 tests and 198 ODIs scoring 2833 runs and 5841 runs respectively.
Later in his career, he captained the Pakistan side as well, and later on became an official in the Pakistan Cricket Board, first as its operating officer, and then also as the board chairman.
