Sonakshi Sinha started her career in Salman Khan’s film “Dabangg” of 2010. Sonakshi has always been very clear about what she likes and dislikes on screen. In an earlier interview, Sonakshi had said, “This is my 15th film and I didn’t do any kissing scenes or stripping off my clothes.” So, we asked Sonakshi on ETimesconstitution’ if it’s sometimes difficult to maintain this form or does it imply losing out on certain opportunities? This was her response.
“I’m in my 35th movie now and still standing!” says Sonakshi laughing at us. A good actor will always find work. I have never lost anything by not including a kiss in my films during my whole career. When it comes to me, as an artiste, if you see that there is something that I bring to the table as an actor, then let me make this movie but let us look for ways around it and correct it or just be pretty free with it. What others may be willing to do too so that options are not closed and nobody is left behind.
Sonakshi Sinha on Heeramandi controversy: It was fiction and never promised to provide a history lesson
In the same chat with ETimes, Sonakshi added that “Heeramandi” made her more confident as an actress. “Yes, absolutely!’ It wasn’t a walkover at all!” Sanjay sir is someone who challenges you; he makes you push yourself so hard until you become the best version of yourself – he has done exactly the same thing for me. Now I am more patient and resilient than ever before working with great bunch of women who taught me a lot about life lessons – so yes!
