It appears that both producer Dinesh Vijan and actor Siddharth Malhotra are in a mood to shift things. Vijan has registered success in the comedy-horror zone with businesses such as Stree 2 and Munjya, and Sidharth Malhotra has not so succeeded in the action zone.
Sidharth Malhotra had some action scenes completed and he is through with it for now. Post Yodha, he has quit another action drama Mitti and will now star in a rom-com, produced by Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films. This untitled project directed by Tushar Jalota, will also feature Janhvi Kapoor.
This will be the very first time Malhotra will get to work with Janhvi Kapoor who has been well appreciated for her two films released this year Mr & Mrs Mahi and Ulajh.
Sidharth Malhotra has recently been having a rough patch in his career. Let’s hope, that Janhvi and Malhotra will find a little bit of luck for each other.
Off late, Siddharth Malhotra has not been achieving the most desirable results in his cinematic releases. Even his OTT debut which many were waiting for Indian Police Force was hyped but fell flat on delivery. Quite frankly, so only four feature films of the actor are critically acclaimed ones that have earned commendable amounts: Student Of The Year, Ek Villain and Shershaah. He co-starred with kiara advani whom he later married in the film.
Looks like marriage has turned out to be a lucky charm for Kiara. Satyaprem Ki Katha, which was her first film after tieing the knot, was a blockbuster, and she went on to bag some of the biggest films of her career including Don 3 and signed after marriage.
