Gerald Coetzee, a bowler from South Africa, will miss the forthcoming two test series against West Indies that will be held next month having sustained left side strain. This has been revealed by Cricket South Africa on Thursday who said that the injury occurred when he was playing Twenty20 cricket in the United States.
According to Cricket South Africa, this led him to return home for medical examinations earlier this month where it was found out that he could not take part in the Caribbean tour.
A man named Migael Pretorius who is new to international cricket will be replacing him. The 23-wicket taker aged 29 played for Somerset in County Championship this year and was named as part of the Test team that went into a series with Sri Lanka in December 2020 but did not play any match.
During August 7th to 11th, Queen’s Park Oval of Trinidad and Tobago will host their first Test while Guyana’s Georgetown Stadium shall stage second game from August 15th upto 19th.
