India D captain Shreyas Iyer in the first Duleep Trophy match of the competition found the scores of 9 and 54 for his team but unfortunately ended without winning as India C won the match by four wickets.
In the second match, Shreyas won the toss and chose to bowl first, a decision that proved to be wise as India D restricted mayank Agarwals’s India A team to 290 runs. This occurred at the Rural Development Trust Stadium, simulteneously located at Anantapur.
But from there on, it was a downward trend for India D as they came out to bat and lost their first four wickets for a mere 55 runs, including Shreyas, the captain of India D without scoring a single run.
Surprisingly, Shreyas who came out to bat after Atharva Taide had scored 4 runs from 3 balls and was out, was seen with sunglasses, which created a lot of buzz on social media.
Regrettably, his innings lasted only six balls, with him departing in exchange for no runs off seven balls for the left hander.
Fans, who first complimented his ‘cool’ sunglasses look started blasting the right hander on social media after a while.
Khaleel Ahmed the pacer showed brilliance and was among two A bowlers to claim the wind, as wickets began to fall quickly, so did the loss of Taide and Shreyas.
