The NCP (Sharad chandra Pawar) leader Sharad Pawar along with the Maharashtra AICC in-charge Ramesh Chennithala, Leader of Opposition in the State assembly Vijay Waddetiwar, and newly-elected Congress MP Varsha Gaikwad were seen meeting at Pawar’s residence on June 7, 2024.
On June 10th, the Nationalist Congress Party-Sharad chandra Pawar (NCP-SP) is going to mark its memorial day as the party chief will head to Pune for a press conference after hoisting the flag.
This occasion comes right after the recently finished Lok Sabha being conducted a few days ago of this month and just ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections which are likely to take place in October. In Maharashtra, Sharad Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party put up an impressive show by winning eight out of ten seats contested by them in Lok Sabha therefore registering best average amongst all political parties.
While the NCP led by Ajit Pawarseems planning for foundation day celebrations to be held on Monday in Mumbai, Ahmednagar district will host those organizing it under NCP (Sharad chandra Pawar).
In July 2023,Mahayuti government led by Shiv Sena’s Eknath Shinde and headed by Maha Yuti Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar who left his party asunder allied with BJP-headed National Democratic Alliance.
Mr.AjitPawar’sNCP performed badly in the recentLokSabhaelections of 2024 and was able to win only one out four Lok Sabha seats it contested losing heavily from Baramati Lok Sabha Constituency that witnessed high-stake competition in Pune district.
