Shiva Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on the Asian Pacific American leaders while Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was invited to attend Maha Vikas AghadiThe last rally of MVA in Mumbai will be held on May 17th, after which the campaign for elections will end.
Mumbai is going to polls on May 20th. “So we invited him and he also accepted the invitation because of our meeting with MVA horses on 17 May,” Raut said, adding that Kejriwal would be attending a function of MVA at Bombay on that same date. Besides Uddhav and Kejriwal, there are expectations that other senior Congress and NCP leaders (Sharad Pawar) are also supposed to take part in that rally. The Deputy Chairman of SP Sharad Pawar is expected to grace the occasion as well, according to Shiv Sena Party (UBT) officials.
Voting for 13 Lok Sabha seats. While 10 seats are from the MMR region, Dhule, Dindori and Nashik will also go to polls on May 20th, which will be fifth phase of general elections in Maharashtra and first in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). Stage five is the ultimate stage of Harashtra election.
On Friday, the Supreme Court accorded interim bail to Kejriwal till June 1st. Campaigning bail was granted by a Supreme Court case against former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is currently being jailed for his role in laundering money through Delhi’s erstwhile excise policy. For counting votes, SC has not allowed AAP leader’s request till June 4th.
With BMC allowing MNS to hold a meeting at Shivaji Park in Dadar on May 17th and permission being sought by Sena (UBT) to have its final gathering at MMRDA ground in BKC. BMC permitted MNS to use the venue on May 17, but Sena (UBT) had also applied to book it for that day with the same department. The rally will be graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Raj Thackeray, and other Mahayuthi leaders who are also expected to present their speeches. This will be first ever public meeting where Raj and Modi share one stage together and equally this is going to be the grand finale of maha yuti campaign in Mumbai as well. A teaser of the gathering attended by Raj and Modi was released by MNS on Thursday. Recently, Raj declared his unconditional support for Mahayuthy.
