The Indian cricket team led by Rohit Sharma is walking into the tour of Bangladesh which consists of two Test matches in early 2023, on September 19 to be more precise, Chennai.
In a recent Instagram post, the 37-year-old Sharma has been posting videos doing strenuous fitness as a training regimen to show his fans what the word “training” means. Sharma has been known for his leadership as much as for his performances, and with the winters approaching again in India the hard work to clock in optimum readiness for the important Test series has begun.
Rohit Sharma was the captain of the Indian team which won the 2024 T20 World Cup. He subsequently stepped down from T20 Internationals. This victory came after a gap of 11 years without an ICC trophy for India. Later, after such remarkable success, Sharma took a break from the shortest version of the game. With the Test series against Bangladesh round the corner Sharma has caused out and about preparing himself into peak physical fitness.
In a recent video post on Instagram, his friends were also included in the training sessions and on some days he uploaded a video showing some fun scenes of people working out with him. This interplay of hard work and downtime captures Rohit Sharma’s work ethic and downtime perfectly.
The captain’s efforts couched in good technical execution of game plan and sound leadership are pointers to a team ready for contest at the highest level with the captain walking the talk.
