Rohit Sharma, the Indian team’s captain, is training with maximum efforts ahead of the Test series against Bangladesh, and he is concentrating particularly on fitness and preparation. Rohit has earned respect amongst the audience for his wonderful batting performances but he has been practicing in the nets and the gym and during extreme workouts making sure he is fit.
In the Instagram video, Rohit is shown performing pushing exercises lifting a heavy iron wheel, a massive tyre during a strict training session in the gym. Rohit has been focusing on building functional strength and conditioning over the past few years and the video indicates how he is pursuing this goal.
The dominant use of the tire-pull is also used as basic endurance training to prepare Rohit for the most expected test series in the near future.
Bangladesh will visit India for a couple of test series.
The first match scheduled to start on September 19 at MA Chidambaram Stadium Chennai will be followed by the second test at Green Park stadium Kanpur from September 27.
