New Delhi: There was huge drama at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai during the match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). CSK star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja Became the third cricketer in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to be ejected for obstructing the pitch.
With this dismissal, Jadeja joins an exclusive list in IPL history with Yusuf Patan and Amit Mishraas one of the few players ejected for obstructing the pitch.
In the crucial 16th over of the game, Jadeja guided RR’s Avesh Khan’s delivery to third man and scored a single.

Upon review by the third umpire, it was apparent that Jadeja deliberately obstructed the field by changing his running route to avoid being run out.
The verdict read “OUT” on the big screen, indicating that Jadeja was fired. Jadeja looked disappointed and walked back to the pavilion.
