In an emotional speech on Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi reiterated Congress’s promise to provide Rs 1 lakh a year to poor women if elected, warning women that men would forcibly take away huge sums of money.
“I know the men in their families will take some of their money,” the great old party leader said at an election rally in Chaibasa, Jharkhand state.
“In the 21st century, both men and women go out to work. They work eight to ten hours a day. Then they go home and the women work another eight hours. Men work eight to ten hours. In the 21st century, tribal women’s working hours It’s 16 to 18 hours,” he said.
“Maybe men will not like what I am saying but it is the truth and that is why we are depositing Rs 1 lakh in women’s bank accounts,” Gandhi said. He also highlighted the Congress’ Nari Nyay poll promise.

Addressing an election rally in Chaibasa, Jharkhand, Gandhi promised to make tens of millions of people “Lakhpati” if elected.
He claimed that this Lok Sabha election was to save the Constitution and the rights of tribals, poor and backward and said that the Indian group leaders were ready to sacrifice their lives to save the Constitution.
The former Congress president said, “The Prime Minister wants to hand over the tribal ‘Jal, Jungle, Jameen’ to 14-15 industrialists… Narendra Modi works for Adani, Ambani… He Make 22 people billionaires in 10 years term… We will provide Rs 1 lakh every year to poor women if elected.
“BJP wants to restrict tribals to roles like domestic help. They never want you to become a doctor, engineer or lawyer. They want to hand over the jungle to industrialists… The country is run by 90 IAS officers, of which only one tribal Marginalized in Delhi, the tribal population constitutes about 8% of the country,” he said.
