Rahul Dravid was a coach and former head of India said Lalchand Rajput on Saturday. The team that won the second ICC T20 World Cup, beating South Africa in a thrilling final in Barbados on Saturday.
Dravid’s unique coaching style he noted which attributed the success of the team to his calm and correct approach.
“Everyone knows that Rahul Dravid is silent yet correct coach. We call him Wall of Cricket…Any person jumps up with joy if one wins the World Cup. He danced yesterday and showed that he has another side also.”Lalchand Rajput told ANI.
India’s win in the summit clash was built on a late charge by Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya along with excellent batting from Virat Kohli and Axar Patel.
This win marks India’s first ICC trophy in 11 years since their last triumph at the Champions Trophy in 2013. Also, India are the first ever team to win this title without losing any match.
The Indian team under Rahul Dravid’s guidance collectively worked towards this huge achievement bringing joy to fans and putting an end to twenty-year hiatus for an ICC title.
