Modi family member PV Narasimha Rao met Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Tuesday and thanked him for paying tribute to the former prime minister. They met Modi at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday night and the meeting lasted about 30 minutes.
Narasimha Rao’s son PV Prabhakar Rao, daughter and BRS MLC Vani Devi, Narasimha Rao’s son-in-law and retired IPS officer KR Nandan and former Prime Minister’s grandson and BJP leader NV Subhash attended the meeting.
Sharing photos of the meeting in a post on Wonderful meeting. They thanked the Government of India for conferring Bharat Ratna to Shri Narasimha Rao Garu.
“Our interaction was extensive and we discussed several topics. The family expressed happiness about India’s progress in recent years. We also talked about India’s rich culture and traditions,” the prime minister said.
Subhash said this was the Rao family’s gratitude to Modi for awarding him the country’s highest civilian award.
Telangana BJP spokesperson Subhash said Modi discussed various topics including travel, education, science and technology, finance, “Sanathan Dharma” and today’s politics.
“It’s a great feeling for all of us because we feel like we’re interacting with family,” Subhas added.
Modi arrived here on Tuesday evening. He will address an election rally in Telangana on Wednesday.
