What do you think about PPP’s opinion to your performance?
It was good. They have implemented the people-oriented activities launched by PM Modi. Ordinary citizens are very happy.
If you become the winner of polls, what is your plan for Kanpur Lok Sabha seat?
Vikshit Kanpur so that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s concept of Viksit Bharat Mission 2047 can be realized. Can Yogi Adityanath make themselves God and develop Kanpur? I would like to bring back the city where it used to belong.
You have been called as an outsider since you are from Farrukhabad and were seeking tickets from Banda before. Comment on this.
It was raised by Congress. What does “outsider” really mean? I had been residing in Kanpur since 2010; at that time I was actively involved in student politics at the same place. My home is situated in Swarup Nagar part of Kanpur. From all parties, a mango party and Holi were organized at Milan gatherings.
Weren’t you elected president of the students’ union of a degree college in Farrukhabad?
Truly speaking, Farrukhabad interested me in student politics. But there is no doubt that I was born in Farrukhabad and studied there till my schooling ended. Lekin meri karmbhoomi Kanpur hai (My workplace is Kanpur). I have lived in Kanpur for more than five years now because I am a member of working committee BJP representing KANPUR since five years ago.Does this question not come up simply through media?
Your nearest rival, Alok Misra who is a contestant sponsored by Congress hails from Kanpur town itself.In the constituency of Lok Sabha representing Kanpur ,Samajwadi Party has three MLAs out of five assembly constituencies including; Mohd Hassan Rumi (Kanpur Cantt), Aria Amitabh Bajpai (Naga) and Haji Irfan Solanki(West Samau).How will you come out with this kind of challenges?
There is no doubt that all three constituencies are under the control of Samajwadi Party. Socialist MLAs just emerged winners in all the seats due to some problems. However, BJP won from Ariya Nagar assembly constituency during that last Lok Sabha elections. Mayoral election was also won by BJP party.Atleast we now win regularly from these seats.Candidates have a role to play as far as Lok Sabha polls are concerned. In the previous general election, Congress had two well-known faces, Shriprakash Jaiswal and Ajay Kapoor. Now, Jaiswal is not active in politics because Ajay Kapoor has shifted to BJP along with his vote support. Congress has nothing.
How would you check caste-specific splitting of votes?
Opposition candidates have no influence in the city.Name one leader from any caste who supported the Congress candidate.Won’t he even get school faculty votes unless his family’s vote supports him?
I have heard that local PPP unit is not pleased with your performance.
This statement is false. I am among the members who works on behalf of BJP in Kanpur. The entire district leadership stands with me. Let anyone name a single organized official in this city who did not work for BJP winning the election in Kanpur.
You are said to be too confident, is it true?
Any worker of BJP cannot overestimate himself or herself. On the ground we speak out. Yogis Modi yatras have benefitted from every voter’s attention In Kanpur. Samau and Ariya Nagar in West have been our strongest zones. There were changes in other areas after PM Narendra Modi’s roadshow.
