The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday dared the Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to tell him the names of all districts and their capitals without looking at any records.
Speaking to a public meeting in Kandhamal district of Odisha, Prime Minister Modi said, “I would like to challenge ‘Navin Babu’ because he has been Chief Minister for such a long time now, please ‘Navin Babu’ ‘Name the districts of Odisha and their respective capitals without giving names. If the CM cannot name the districts of the state, will he know your pain?
He added that there are many opportunities for tourism in this State.
During his remarks, Mr. Modi reprimanded Congress by saying that Pakistan is a Nuclear state and therefore instilling fear psychosis.
“He said that “I’ll pay back every ounce of trust,” I have received from people by “serving selflessly.” The Pokhran Test which was done 26 years ago today was explained by him through an anecdote about former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
“This nuclear test made Indians all over the world proud…It was after this that India declared its capabilities. However, Congress scared its own people. They kept repeating ‘Pakistan is a nuclear power’,” and created A psychosis of fear in Indian hearts,” said the Prime Minister.
According to Mr. Modi, development in Odisha remains minimal since the state government has no faith in these people’s capabilities.
“Odisha can benefit immensely from flourishing tourism industry while also contributing indirectly to general economic growth within such areas.” Your state government is not willing to believe in your capabilities thus hampering your development.
The Lok Sabha elections were described as “very important” for everyone from Odisha by Mr. PM who further stated that every single vote matters with regard to both Odishan development and overall prosperity of India as well.
“You will vote for the BJP government, which means that a double engine government will come to Odisha for the first time,” said Prime Minister Modi.
In his promise to the people of the state, he told them, “Under the leadership of BJP government, your Ratna Bhandar would be transparent and has a good name again.” “That is my assurance as Modi” Mr. Modi stressed.
The Prime Minister remarked that Kandhamal is significant in Lok Sabha elections. He further stated that every vote matters to the development of Odisha and prosperity of India.
“The BJD and Congress had declared Kandhamal as backward areas. To transform these backward areas into nationally desirable ones, Modi has been making regular visits, monitoring work being done etc.
In early March, saffron brigade had said it would fight both Lok Sabha polls and Assembly elections in Odisha separately.
Among these include 21 constituencies in Odisha between May 13 and June 1 during four different phases.
