A 4th place finish in the women’s 25m pistol shooting event for India’s Manu Bhaker rounded off a fabulous showing at this Olympics with two medals on Saturday, unprecedented in their history. In the final match of eight ladies, the 22-year old Bhaker came fourth by scoring 28 points thus failing to win three medals in one Olympics edition only. Veronika Major, Hungarian bronze medalist defeated her at shoot-off.

India’s Day 8 Schedule – Tokyo Time (All timings are local):

SHOOTING:

12:30 PM: Women’s Skeet Qualification Day 1 – Raiza Dhillon and Maheshwari Chauhan.

12:30 PM: Men’s Skeet Qualification Day 2 – Anant Jeet Singh Naruka.

GOLF:

12:30 PM: Men’s Individual Stroke Play Round 3 – Shubhankar Sharma and Gaganjeet Bhullar.

SHOOTING:

1 PM Women’s 25m Pistol Final – Manu Bhaker Fourth Place.

ARCHERY:

1:52 PM: Deepika Kumari defeats Michelle Kroppen (Germany) for women’s individual quarterfinals.

2.05 pm _ sec4Women’s Individual Eighth Finals- Bhajan Kaur vs Diananda Choirunisa (Indonesia).

SAILING:

3:50 PM Men’s Dinghy Race – Vishnu Saravanan5 & 6.

ARCHERY:

4.30 pm onwards Women’s Individual Quarterfinals-Deepika Kumari and Bhajan Kaur (if qualified).

5.22 pm onwardsWomen’s Individual Semifinals-Deepika Kumari and Bhajan Kaur (if qualified).

SAILING:

5.55pm Women’s Dinghy Race – Nethra Kumanan-4, 5 & 6.

ARCHERY:

6:03 p.m.: A bronze-medal match-up between Deepika Kumari and Bhajan Kaur in the women’s individual (if they lose in semi-finals).

6:16 p.m.: A gold-medal match-up between Deepika Kumari and Bhajan Kaur in the women’s individual (if qualified).

SHOOTING:

7 PM: Skeet Men’s Final – Anant Jeet Singh Naruka (If qualified).

BOXING:

12.18am 71kg Quarterfinals- Nishant Dev vs Marco Verde (Mexico).
