It is significant to note that in the Rawalpindi bench of Lahore High Court which is headed by Justice Chaudhry Abdul Aziz, PTI lawyer stated that they are no longer pursuing the firm declaration concerning the request to hold a rally on Saturday.
Justice Chaudhry is quoted as saying, “You change your mind and withdraw the plea after making it why?” He further queried, “Tomorrow I take it you have a rally at Rawalpindi?”
To the judge’s ‘inquisitions’, the party member replied that the party had applied for a public meeting in Rawalpindi three days ago. But it is being appealed today.
Moreover, the lawyer from PTI also mentioned that the deputy commissioner is ‘sitting on the decision’ for that matter. Thus, under the direction of the leadership of the PTI, the party has now decided to retract its request, said the report of Geo News.
