Pakistan’s next assignment is the Test series at home against England, but as per claims made by country’s former batsman Basit Ali, rather than tennis their focus is on winning Patients trophy that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to host in February-March next year.
Basit made grave revelations in such a meeting which was held prior to the one in which the players for the first England test were to be selected, saying that white ball head coach and Ex-South African cricketer Gary Kirsten is now active in the politics of Pakistan cricket.
“Jis group ka pehle dosti yaari group ka jo head tha ab woh change ho gaya hai. Babar (Azam) ne step down kar diya hai group se. Ab uss group ko sambhala hai white ball ke head coach Gary Kirsten sahab ne (the head of friendship group has changed Babar Has step down and now the man taking care of that group is Kirsten),” Basit in his recent video uploaded moving pictures site said.
As per what Babar Azam told the newspaper, Kirsten spoke about certain points in the meeting which the players have spoken about like ‘when it comes to selectors or players, bring consistency, give them a long rope’ This was in the meeting’s outline.
He said that there is a reason why PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi approved the proposal to try the all-rounder Shadab Khan once again.
“This happened because of a few people,” Basit said without naming anyone. “Naqvi being a head has to support which is a good thing.”
“He also threatened to call, if it should be borne or should come down with Tamasha, ‘Parmai dekhta hoon koi aur bhi bhol vata hai, worm and we do ji hagard presents chaosi dekh aur ka bqi yahaa dekhni hai bahar.”
He also criticized the team for losing the Test series at home to Bangladesh in which the latter not only won their first-ever Test against Pakistan, but also finished off the series 2 games to nil in favor of the visitors.

Basit also claimed that “Rizwan remained quiet and bickering, whatever Afridi said in that meeting was of no importance.”
