The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), which is one of Kerala’s partners in the joint venture with TELK, has indicated its wish to withdraw from the partnership. This request is currently being processed. According to the Minister, NTPC’s decision to leave indicates a general trend for disengagement of federal powers in joint venture projects. However, NTPC still supports TELK.
