Srinagar: Industry body National Industrial Association Wednesday Attachm. 6 Real Estate wherein Asif Ahmed Malik, a senior worker of the banned terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (Jem) in Mirpora village Pulwama district.
The plots were seized following an order of the Special NIA Court in Jammu under Section 33(1) of UAPA in connection with transportation of smuggled terrorists into Kashmir from border and recovery of arms/explosives.
A statement by the investigating agency said that during NIA probe, it was revealed that the accused persons hatched conspiracy to transport infiltrated terrorists to Valley of Kashmir for providing them safe havens as well as assisting them in planning and executing attacks on security forces/agencies.
Malik was arrested on January 31, 2020 with weapons, ammunition and explosives recovered from his possession. On July 2, 2020, NIA filed charge sheet against him under various sections of IPC, UAPA, Explosives Act and Indian Wireless Telegraphy Act. He is presently facing trial before the NIA court at Jammu.
Additionally, the statement stated that till date NIA has attached properties numbering around 109 within J&K state under UAPA provisions.
