NEW DELHI: Cricket fans are known for their exuberant celebrations in support of their teams, showcasing enthusiasm in every possible way – from waving jerseys, dancing, drumming, and painting their faces in national colors.
During the ICC T20 World Cup match between Nepal and Bangladesh at Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown, St Vincent, one Nepali fan elevated the celebration to new heights.
In a moment of pure joy, he leaped into a nearby pool to mark Nepal captain Rohit Paudel dismissing Bangladesh’s Towhid Hridoy for 9 runs.
The ICC shared the viral video of this spirited celebration on Instagram, capturing the essence of fan fervor in cricket.

Bangladesh secured a spot in the Super Eights of the T20 World Cup with a hard-fought 21-run triumph over Nepal.
Despite Bangladesh posting a modest total of 106 all out in 19.3 overs, Tanzim Hasan Sakib’s devastating spell of 4-7 quickly had Nepal reeling at 26-5.
Mustafazir Rahman then chipped in with 3-7 as Nepal were bundled out for 85 in 19.2 overs.
This victory places Bangladesh second in Group D behind South Africa.
Bangladesh will now face Australia (June 21), India (June 22) and Afghanistan (June 25) in the Super 8s.
