VIENNA: To show the strong relationship between India and Austria, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a video of his recent visit to Vienna.
On his X account, the prime minister posted a clip on YouTube covering some of the activities he undertook while in Austria during his 2-day trip to Europe with a caption that said “May India-Austria friendship go to greater heights!”
“Highlights from a special visit.” He shared glimpses of this trip.
The movie also shows Mr. Narendra Modi being given an honor guard by Austrian soldiers among other unforgettable moments.
In another part of the video, however, for instance, is an Austrian Chancellor who took a selfie with PM Modi. The two leaders were seen laughing together as they posed for photos.
It’s worth noting, after returning home, Indian Prime Minister wrote a post on X thanking Karl Nehammer and other Austrians citizens as well as authorities for hosting him.
He also described it as historic and very productive.
“My visit to Austria has been historic and immensely productive. There is new vigour in our age-old friendship. I had an opportunity to take part in various programmes in Vienna. Thanks @karlnehammer, Government & people of Austria for their hospitality & affection!” PM Modi tweeted on June 10th.
PM Modi attended a community event in Vienna yesterday marking 75 years since their long awaited meeting took place after World War II ended.
Also coming back after more than four decades since an Indian Premier came here; the occasion was of significance and joy albeit with some hint of historical nature too.
At this community function people chanted ‘Modi! Modi!’ when he appeared on stage.
This brought smiles on their faces depicting that Indians greet you warmly and it indicates that there are strong ties between India and its diaspora back home. The above sentence indicates one thing; there is no need for introduction because once someone enters into their midsts they are able to recognize who the person really is.
Significantly, PM Modi had important meetings with the Austrian leaders including President Alexander Van der Bellen and Chancellor Nehammer to strengthen bilateral ties and identify new areas of cooperation between India and Austria.
Also, Prime Minister Modi spoke about his discussions with businesspeople from both countries. “Met business leaders from India and Austria. Our nations are confident of leveraging the many opportunities ahead to boost commercial and trade linkages,” he said underlining mutual trust in deepening economic relationship.
On 9th June, PM Modi arrived in Vienna for a day’s State visit having been out of Russia for two days where he met Russian President Vladimir Putin.
