On Thursday, in Rawalpindi, Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel showed their batting prowess by scoring breathtaking hundreds, enabling Pakistan to post a total of 448 for 6 declared against Bangladesh on the second day of the first Test match.
This Test cricket’s highest score with an unbeaten 171 was one more proof of Rizwan’s skillful character and dedication.
The wicket-keeper batsman was just a few runs away from making his maiden double century in Tests but a declaration from captain Shan Masood prevented him from attaining this remarkable milestone. While returning to the pavilion after his unbeaten 171 off 239 balls, Rizwan found that his teammates had gathered near he boundary to applaud his great performance.
In an amusing incident that ensued, Rizwan flung his bat towards Babar Azam who caught it before the two shared a friendly laughter.
Rizwan made boundaries as well as sixes; he had eleven boundaries and three sixes indicating that he is an all-around batsman.
