The timeless proverb that catches wins matches remains relevant today. There have been many instances where fielders have taken some stunning catches to change the tide of the match or to simply alter a game.
This match which was between Northern Super chargers and London Spirit in The Hundred at Headingley, Leeds on Tuesday bore it’s resemblance.
London Spirit’s innings was opened by Michael Peper and Keaton Jennings after being inserted into bat by Northern Superchargers.
In the 11th ball of Reece Topley’s innings, Peper lofted it over mid-on and Mitchell Santner from there began chasing it.
With his eyes fixed on the airborne ball above him, Santner bolted back from mid-on as he dived deep within mid-off taking an incredible catch that dismissed Pepper for 3 runs.
