With ‘Rishton Ka Naya Andaaz, Meethas Ke Saath (New perspective of relationships with a little bit of sweetness)’, here comes COLORS to capture this essence with the latest promo of its upcoming show ‘Mishri’ where Shruti Bhist plays Mishri and Namish Taneja acts Raghav. The story is about a young girl in Mathura who goes through lives while making others happy but finds herself grappling with her own bitterness.
Being the sweetest person in whole Mathura, Mishri is invited to every official event there just to bring good luck. However, things take a turn when her wicked aunt conspires and swaps her would-be husband for her middle-aged brother with whom she had been promised. When it appears all hope is lost fate throws a spanner into works. The moment Mishri needed help most, it came from an unexpected source! In a dramatic twist, Raghav comes as a saviour and marries Mishri, flipping the script on Chachi’s nasty plot. The saga of dodging life’s lemons doesn’t end there! But the saga doesn’t end there – bound by gratitude and a mangal sutra, the ever-determined Mishri refuses to be a burden to Raghav, who’s in love with another girl named Vaani.
However hard it may seem Vaani will always have to come first for Mishri because she is set on marrying Raghav. How can she do that without causing any harm to the two most important people in her life? Relationships are evolving at breakneck speeds today bringing forth new dynamics everyday. This has however not changed the desire for meethas that bind hearts together.
Shruti Bhist was ecstatic about playing the character of Mishri and said “Mishri is very special as my maiden association with Colors.” Although she gives joy wherever she goes, yet life lacks the sweetness that she generously imparts. Come what may, Mishri is on a mission to turn her sorrows into successes. Mishri’s heart is loving and unbreakable even after losing her parents and being used like unpaid help by her own aunt. She still dreams of creating a better life for herself and will not let her loving spirit be broken due to circumstances. This is a show that should give viewers hope.
“It’s been great returning to Colors again after my memorable roles in Swaragini and Vidya,” said Namish Taneja excitedly when asked about his role as Raghav in the TV series. I’m really looking forward to playing Raghav because he’s such a kind-hearted person who always helps people in need, just like me.” I am really excited to tell viewers an inspiring story through this character of mine called Raghav.”
Mishri starts July 3 at 8:30 pm only on Colors.
