In Sarjapura police station limits on Wednesday evening, a eucalyptus grove witnessed the murder of Pranesh, a 12-year-old boy who had come to visit his parents on summer vacation from Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh.
The death of Pranesh, Basavaraju’s second son after Shivakumar happened when he was living with his wife and first son at Manjunath layout in Neriga village labour shed for about one year.
Basavaraju left Pranesh at his relative’s house where he was studying in class 7. Two weeks ago, Pranesh visited them. When the family went out on employment errands, the deceased stayed behind at the shed.
Pranesh was left behind by the family as they went to work on Wednesday. The killing came to light when the elder brother returned home and rushed into the Eucalyptus groove screaming that Pranesh had died.
When they reached there, they were shocked to find that Pranesh had been killed; since he bled so much from his head and ears.
During lunch break Shiva Kumar told his father and mother that when I came home I saw pramesh inside while Shivakumar went back working because pramesh had gone outside towards the backyard to ease himself
The police have registered a case of murder against Shivakumar following a complaint received and now interrogating him for further investigation as it is suspected that it may be committed by him.
