The 24-match losing streak all but eliminated five-time champions Mumbai Indians from playoff contention, with KKR bowing out for 169 while Mumbai Indians were thrashed by 145 runs in 18.5 years thanks to KKR pacers returning to form Mitchell Stark Who took 4/33.

KKR put 169 runs on the board thanks to Venkatesh Iyer’s half-century (70 off 52 balls) and Manish Pandey’s equally crucial 31-ball 42, despite MI finishing in only the seventh time.
Jasprit Bumrah Leading the MI bowling charts again with 3/18. Nuwan Suchhara also took three wickets (3/42). Captain Hardik Pandya (2/44) and Piyush Chawla (1/15) were the other wicket-takers for the home team. One wicket fell for a run-out, with Andre Russell (7) as the batsman.
For KKR, apart from Starc’s four wickets, Varun Chakravarthy (2/22), Sunil Narine (2/22) and Russell (2/30) took two wickets each.
Despite Suryakumar Yadav’s knock of 56 off 35 balls, Mumbai were defeated by 145 runs in 18.5 overs.
The victory took KKR to second place in the points table with seven wins in 10 games, while MI continued to sit ninth in the 10-team table after suffering its eighth defeat in 11 games.
