While captain Kieron Pollard hit an unbeaten 33 off just twelve balls including three sixes and two fours at a strike rate of 275 that took them past the winning line
“Very relieved, congrats to the entire team. The way we fought, everyone chipped in usefully. If we look at how we have batted like before, it was not easy as they managed only one hundred and thirty (130). But again got another chance; everybody show great attitude towards it. I’ve been there before and Nosthush came up to me after one game he said. It would come right again my family had always been my backbone. What meant so much was that coming from a young player,” expressed MI New York Captain Pollard after match.
“I always pride myself on performing for the franchise and I’m glad it came off today. It was one of those days we got what we wanted (on bowling last over). I could’ve gone for twenty and they could’ve gotten through to one-fifty; I might have gone with Rushil Ugarkar instead but then today is when everything fell into place with us. When heard that one of our fans in the crowd got hit I just hope she is okay and we can just do something from our side to make her happy,” he concluded.
Following this win, MI New York have confirmed the playoffs lineup and will now meet Texas Super Kings in the Eliminator on a very exciting match-up.
The game will take place at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas on a Thursday.
