The Election Commission on Wednesday said it has ordered re-polling at two polling stations in Bihar’s Khagaria Lok Sabha constituency where voting was disrupted due to vandalism of EVMs.
According to a statement issued by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar, voting will be held on May 10 at polling booths 182 and 183 in Beldaur assembly district.
Five Lok Sabha seats in Bihar, including Kagaria, went to polls on Tuesday, with Chirag Paswan-led Lok Sabha Party (Ram Vilas) locked in a direct battle with the CPI(M) Contest.
Notably, residents of Sahraun village in Khagaria, which falls under Gogli subdivision, announced a boycott of the polls to press for the demand for construction of roads.
