Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Fourth phase of voting ends at 9 am, voter turnout is 10.35%

Voting for the fourth phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections is underway. As of 9 a.m., the voter turnout was 10.35%. From former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav to TMC leader Mahua Moitra, this phase witnessed several high-profile candidates vying for the seat.

Among those who voted on Monday, May 13, were actor Allu Arjun, former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also cast his vote at a polling station in Ujjain.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday urged people to vote in large numbers, adding that strengthening India’s democracy was everyone’s responsibility. “In today’s fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, 96 seats from 10 states and Union Territories will go to polls. I believe people in these constituencies will vote in large numbers and young voters and women voters will drive a surge in voting. Come Well, let us all do our part and strengthen our democracy.

Meanwhile, polling is underway in all 25 seats in Andhra Pradesh and 17 constituencies in Telangana. 13 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 11 seats in Maharashtra, 8 seats in West Bengal, 8 seats in Madhya Pradesh, 5 seats in Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha Four seats in each state and one seat in Jammu and Kashmir also went to polls.

Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections 2024

As of 9 am, the turnout in 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh was 9.05%. The seats going to polls in Andhra Pradesh today are – Araku (ST), Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, Kakinada, Amalapuram (SC), Rajahmundry, Narsapuram, Eluru, Machilipatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur, Narasaraopet, Bapatla (SC) ), Ongole, Nandyal, Kurnool, Nellore, Thirupati (SC), Rajampet, Chittoor (SC), Hindupur, Anantapur, Kadapa. YS Sharmila, sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Reddy, is contesting from Kadapa for the Congress seat. She is fighting on the seat against her cousin YS Avinash Reddy of YSRCP.

Bihar Lok Sabha elections 2024

In Bihar, Darbhanga, Ujjalpur, Samastipur, Begusarai and Munger are the five constituencies that will go to polls in the fourth phase. Union Minister Giriraj Singh is seeking re-election from Begusarai in Bihar.

Jammu and Kashmir Lok Sabha Elections 2024

The Srinagar seat is witnessing voting in the fourth phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Madhya Pradesh Lok Sabha elections 2024

The parliamentary constituencies that will go to polls in the fourth phase are Dewas, Ujjain, Mansoor, Ratlam, Dhar, Indore, Kagan and Khandwa.

Maharashtra Lok Sabha Elections 2024

The constituencies voting in this phase of Maharashtra include Nandurbhar, Jalgaon, Raver, Jalna, Aurangabad, Maval, Pune, Shirur, Ahmednagar, Shirdi and Beed.

Odisha Lok Sabha elections 2024

In Odisha, four seats – Kalahandi, Nabarangpur (ST), Behanpur, Koraput (ST) – will go to polls on Monday, May 13.

Telangana Lok Sabha Elections 2024

The voting constituencies in Telangana include: Adilabad (ST), Peddapalli (SC), Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Zaheerabad, Medak, Malka Jigiri, Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Chewela, Mahbub Nagar, Nalgonda, Nagarkunur (SC), Bangir, Warangal (SC), Mahbubabad (ST) and Khammam. Actor-turned-politician Madhavi Latha has been fielded by the Bharatiya Janata Party from Hyderabad in Telangana state to contest against AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi.BJP’s Bandi Sanjay Kumar fights in Telangana’s Karimnagar

Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha elections 2024

The seats going to polls in Uttar Pradesh in the fourth phase are: Shahjahanpur, Kheri, Dharuhara, Sitapur, Hardoi, Misrkh, Unnao, Farrukhabad, Etawah, Kannauj, Kanpur, Akbarpur and Bahraich (SC). Akhilesh Yadav is currently contesting from Kannauj constituency in the state.

West Bengal Lok Sabha elections 2024

The constituencies going to polls in West Bengal during this phase include: Baharampur, Krishnanagar, Ranaghat, Bardhaman Purba, Bardhaman-Durgapur, Asansol, Bolpur and Birbhum. TMC candidate and former Indian cricketer Yusuf Pathan and senior Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary in Baharampur, West Bengal (Baharampur) compete with each other. The BJP has ousted Nirmal Kumar from the seat. Actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha has been fielded by the TMC from Asansol in West Bengal.

Jharkhand Lok Sabha elections 2024

The four seats that went to polls in Jharkhand on Monday are: Simbhum, Khunti, Lohardaga, Palamau. Jharkhand Union Minister and former Chief Minister Arjun Munda is fighting for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Khunti constituency.
