Manish Sisodia, the leader of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and a former Deputy Chief Minister, in his Saturday address at AAP headquarters stated that his expectation was to have a redress within 7-8 months, but it ended up taking him 17months.
“However the poorest party in the country was still working towards helping people. They used ED/CBI to ruin all our hard work. They threw us into jail but they never locked us out of people’s hearts.” Mr. Sisodia said one day after being released from prison following seventeen months’ stay.
The Supreme Court has granted bail to the former Deputy Chief Minister for corruption and money laundering cases related to alleged excise case.
“Dictatorship will be crushed by Supreme Court using power of the Constitution”, he added.
In relation with Delhi Chief Minister and party leader Arvind Kejriwal who is imprisoned, Mr. Sisodia stated,” If opposition leaders unite against dictatorship, Arvind Kejriwal will come out of jail in 24 hours.”
Prior to his address at party headquarters, Mr. Sisodia visited Hanuman temple in Connaught Palace for prayer and went Raj Ghat with AAP leaders Sanjay Singh, Atishi Marlena and Saurabh Bharadwaj.
