The local government has given local bodies permission to rent out temporary s to those who have been identified as the poorest of the poor and the homeless under the beneficiary category of the LIFE housing project which will be valid until the duration of the house still being constructed.
Building and Local Government Minister M B Rajesh stated that local bodies have two options for the funding of this expenditure, from their annual plans.
Renting houses except in the panchayat which is aa period of rent of not exceeding two years. . The minimum rent which is to be placed at PANCAYAT areas will be Rs.5000, Municipal areas Rs.7000 and Corporation areas Rs.8000.
