India vs Bangladesh Live Score, IND-W vs BAN-W Asia Cup Semi Final Match Today: Renuka Thakur brought down Bangladesh with an early burst of three Powerplay wickets for India.
Bangladesh’s captain, Nigar Sultana won the toss and chose to bat against Harmanpreet Kaur’s India in the first semifinal at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Dambulla.
The unbeaten India team will ride on their form in the competition as they take on Bangladesh in the first semi-final. Nigar Sultana’s side began the tournament with a defeat to hosts Sri Lanka but they responded back with two comfortable wins over Malaysia and Thailand.
In 22 T20Is between these two teams, India has won 19 matches against Bangladesh. However, that does not guarantee that Kaur and Co. will be complacent as there is also a chance of them losing their sixth title to them since they had taken it to heart when they were defeated twice by Bangladesh in four days during the last edition held in 2018; this led to their first-ever loss at this level which was a big disappointment especially after seven successive victory campaigns right from its inception.
In one of those few evenings when nothing special happened, India proved far too strong for Nepal as they completed the group stage of Women’s Asia Cup with a perfect record. Choosing to bat first, and introducing changes into its batting order, Indian players managed to set up 178/3 runs on board through Shafali Verma who posted her best ever score in T20Is –81 runs. Nepal were able to play out all 20 overs during the chase but could only manage a total score of 96/9.
One thing that changed about Indian team today was Smriti Mandhana walking out for toss. After missing half of Team India’s second innings against UAE due to injury (but she is fine as she claimed after the game), Harmanpreet Kaur was clearly rest. Sajana Sajeevan, her Mumbai Indians teammate, also had a chance to play, just like Arundhati Reddy who came in for Pooja Vastrakar who has been playing non-stop for some weeks now.
