Bangladesh’s captain, Nigar Sultana won the toss and chose to bat against Harmanpreet Kaur’s India in the first semifinal at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Dambulla.

Nepal were able to play out all 20 overs during the chase but could only manage a total score of 96/9.
One thing that changed about Indian team today was Smriti Mandhana walking out for toss. After missing half of Team India’s second innings against UAE due to injury (but she is fine as she claimed after the game), Harmanpreet Kaur was clearly rest. Sajana Sajeevan, her Mumbai Indians teammate, also had a chance to play, just like Arundhati Reddy who came in for Pooja Vastrakar who has been playing non-stop for some weeks now.
