Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry C. P. Radhakrishnan Participating in the Car Festival at Thirunallar on Sunday.
During the annual festival of chariots, called Dharbaranyeswaraswamy temple car festival, thousands of devotees thronged from different parts of India. Mr. Radhakrishnan was actively involved in the temple car festival as he reached Karaikal by evening on Sunday.
According to Lieutenant Governor, the reporter said that serious steps would be taken to prevent ganja from spreading throughout Union Territory during his recently concluded press conference held at one of the hotels here where he attended a program organized by Vasantha Bhavan for women empowerment and spoke extensively about this issue. “I have discussed with Chief Minister Kumaraswamy concerning this problem; I am not concerned about how many kilograms we have confiscated from it but what steps we are taking against it”. My discussions with Andhra Pradesh leaders were geared towards blocking ganja influx into my territory.”
