During the victory parade from Marine Drive to Wankhede Stadium on an open-top bus, which went by through all the areas around, players of the Indian T20 World Cup winning team were given a hearty welcome.
The jubilation of the World Cup victory carried away a crowd of fans who met them with clapping and cheers.
On their part, the players simply smiled and waved at the crowd that had gone wild.
Captain Rohit Sharma and star batsman Virat Kohli held up the 2024 T20 World Cup trophy for all fans’ eyes to see as they moved along the road during the entire parade.
In response to these happy moments, Anand Mahindra renamed Marine Drive.
“Mumbai’s JAADU KI JHAPPI” wrote Mahindra on X, instead of The Queen’s Necklace in Mumbai.”
Suryakumar Yadav who made a game-changing catch during the final against South Africa seemed impressed with what Anand Mahindra said.
“Kya baat keh di sir,” responded Suryakumar.
