Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s nephew and heir apparent Abhishek claimed that the TMC candidate is the true representative of the Indian bloc in West Bengal.
Senior TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee on Saturday said his party was keen on an alliance with the Congress and hence he went to meet Rahul Gandhi at his residence at 6 am.

“If I had not been serious, I would not have rushed to Rahul Gandhi’s residence in Delhi at 6 am. We are willing to ally with the Congress in the Lok Sabha polls in West Bengal, even though state Congress president Adil Ranjan Chaudhry has been trolling our party for months but we did not react for a long time,” he said. “We have given Congress till December but we cannot wait indefinitely as we have to be ready. Till December 31, 2023,” said our party spokesperson, including Mamata Banerjee None of them responded to Chaudhry’s remarks,” he added. Diamond Harbor MP Banerjee said the seat-sharing talks failed due to the belligerent attitude of the state assembly.
