Today, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will leave for New Delhi to attend a meeting of Congress Working Committee of All-India Congress Committee. This meeting is expected to discuss the results of Lok Sabha election. The attendees will include AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, the ex-AICC chief Rahul Gandhi, some PCC presidents and other senior politicians from the party. Today too Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar also will be in New Delhi.

This morning Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited flagged off Surya Rath Yatra as their initiative to promote solar rooftop systems in Bengaluru. Among those who graced this occasion were K.P.Rudrappaiah, Managing Director, KREDL.

World Environmental Day commemorations are being held at National Gallery of Modern Art Bengaluru which is under Ministry of Culture Government of India where B.S.Chandrashekar Scientist-E IWST shall talk on “Environmental changes”. The program will take place at National Gallery of Modern Art No:49 Manikyavelu Mansion Palace Road by 4 p.m; Entrance fee for the event is free.

Bharatiya Nada Sourabha Music Festival by Saraswati Sangeet Vidyalaya today features devotional songs by Smruthi S.Bhat and party, Hindustani vocal concert by Vageesh Bhat and team then followed by Hindustani classical harmonium duet by Sudhanshu Kulkarni and Sarang S.Kulkarni that will be held at Shree Krishnaraja Parishat Mandira Kannada Sahitya Parishat Pampa Mahakavi Road Chamarjept slated to start from 5.30 p.m.

Today (29 June) Natham Institute of Dance presents a Bharatanatya by Smrithi Sridhar at Sai Aradhana Bhavan Hosur Sathya Sai Sadhana, Hosur Road, Koramangala starting at 5.30 p.m.

Ranga Rangoli a Kannada drama festival organized by Academy of Music will take place at “Mayabazar” by Dramatrics Troupe today. The play has been directed by N.C.Mahesh. Venue: Chowdiah Memorial Hall Gayatri Devi Park Extension Vyalikaval Malleswaram Timing: 6.30 p.m.

Dave Brown is a well known British cartoonist employed by the Independent in London and his cartoons are being exhibited from 10 am to 6 pm at Indian Cartoon Gallery. It is located at Indian Institute of Cartoonists No:1 Midford House Midford Garden Trinity Circle off MG Road.

  1. As a result of inhaling the leaked gas from the cylinders at a scrap yard in Hale Kesare, Mysuru’s outskirts, approximately twenty people were rushed to hospitals late on Friday. At present, they are being treated.

At 10 a.m. today there will be a two-day seminar on the use of plants as medicine in KLE Tech University, Hubballi in Kappatagudda Hill range.
