The Janata Dal (Secular) leader was arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Saturday.
Revanna said on his way to court that the case was a political conspiracy against him and that he had never seen anything like it in his political career.
After Revanna was arrested by SIT officials in the kidnapping case, she was admitted to Bowring & Lady Curzon Hospital for medical examination.
“This is a political conspiracy against me. In my 40 years in politics, I have never seen anything like this,” he told reporters.
“There is no place to blame me politically. A complaint was filed against me on April 28, but no evidence was found in the case. With the malicious intent of arresting me, they filed a kidnapping case against me and arrested me.” Levanna added.

Earlier, the Special People’s Representative Court in Bengaluru rejected the interim bail application filed by JD(S) leader HD Revanna and JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna in the alleged “obscene video” case.
A case was registered against the Holenarsipura MLA and his associates under IPC sections 364A (kidnapping for ransom), 365 (kidnapping with intent to cause harm) and 34 (common intention).
The FIR registered by the KR Nagar police also names HD Revanna as accused No. 1 and another man Babanna as accused No. 2. (Arnie)
